Tablet users make more purchases online than smartphone, desktop PC or notebook users, a study has found.
According to the Adobe Digital Marketing Insights report, during 2011 and the year-end holiday shopping season, tablet users spent 54% more online than mobile handset users and 21% more than desktop and notebook users.
Adobe also found that tablet users who visited online retail sites on their devices last year were three times more likely to make a purchase than those who viewed the same retail site on a mobile handset.
