
In his keynote address at Apple's recent Worldwide Developers Conference, Steve Jobs claimed that more than 15,000 iPhone applications are submitted to the company for approval every week. However, despite this high volume of submissions, Apple approves 95% of applications, usually within seven days.
Steve Jobs went on to say that when Apple does not approve an application, it is usually because the application does not do what the developer claims it does, uses private APIs or it crashes.
