Google Chrome has increased its share of the browser market at the expense of rival browsers such as Mozilla Firefox, new statistics show.
According to figures released by market research firm Net Applications, Google Chrome captured 8.47% of the browser market in October 2010, which is up from 8% in September.
In comparison, Mozilla Firefox saw its overall share drop from 22.96% to 22.82%, while Microsoft Internet Explorer’s share fell from 59.65% to 59.26%.
