After it was officially launched by Microsoft last week, Internet Explorer 9 (IE9) was downloaded 2.35 million times in only twenty four hours. That equates to 27 downloads every second.
However, Microsoft’s new web browser was popular even before its official release as while in its Beta and Release Candidate (RC) stages, it was downloaded 36 million times.
