The UK government has published a list of 10 principles of good web design.
According to the Departure of Culture, Media and Sport, a good website is informative and effortless to navigate, has straightforward features and offers different choices for a diverse range of users.
Websites should also contain clear instructions and information, follow consistent standards, guidelines and best practices and be accessible on a multiple range of platforms and devices.
