Mobile communications company Orange believes the bulk of its customers will switch from using standard mobile phones to Internet-connected smartphones over the next four years.
Speaking at the Open Mobile Summit in London, Orange executive vice president Olaf Swantee stated that, despite the growing popularity of smartphones, a huge percentage of Orange customers currently use basic phones, either on contracts or on pre-pay devices.
However, by 2015 the company expects the vast majority of its customers will have switched to using high-end smartphones.
