Facebook partners with Skype

Facebook has reacted to the launch of Google+ by partnering with Skype to offer live video chat.

As we discussed in a blog last week, Google’s new social networking website has a live video chat feature that enables users to hold video chats on online forums and drop in and out of live group conversations.

Facebook has been quick to respond by announcing the launch of its own video-call service. Through a partnership with Skype, Facebook users will now be able to chat via video on the social networking site.

However, Facebook users will only be able to chat one-to-one, while up to ten people can chat via video at any one time on Google+.

We can help you use social media to reach new digital audiences and increase awareness of business or brand.
