New statistics reveal that web surfing on smartphones and tablets has increased dramatically over the past year.
According to the latest NetMarketShare report, prepared by market watcher Net Applications, 5.02% of all web browsing is now carried out on portable devices running platforms such as iOS, Android and BlackBerry. This is up from 2.60% just ten months ago.
The report also reveals that Apple's iPad now accounts for one per cent of all web browsing worldwide.
