Spelling mistakes could cost millions

British companies could be losing millions of pounds in lost business because they have spelling mistakes on their websites, an online entrepreneur has claimed.

Charles Duncombe, director of the Just Say Please group, which runs travel, mobile phone and clothing websites, measured the revenue per visitor to the website: tightsplease.co.uk. He found that sales revenue on the site was twice as high after a spelling mistake was corrected.

Mr Duncombe believes this could mean millions of pounds worth of online business is lost in the UK each week: as misspellings on websites put off consumers and deter them from making a purchase on the site.

We have an outstanding track record of designing and developing websites, portals and eCommerce stores that are of the highest possible quality.
