According to the latest sales figures, Apple has overtaken Nokia to become the world's leading smartphone vendor.
In its latest quarterly outlook report, research firm IDC has stated that the growing popularity of the iPhone has seen Apple take a 19.1% share of all smartphone shipments, making it the world’s top smartphone vendor, ahead of Samsung and Nokia.
IDC has named the iPhone as the stand out product within the growing smartphone market and believes that iPhone sales will continue to rise throughout the rest of the year.
