According to new statistics, nearly 50% of British Internet users now surf the web on mobile phones.
In a survey conducted by the Office for National Statistics (ONS), 45% of respondents said they access the Internet on their mobiles while out and about, which is up from 31% when the same survey was conducted in 2010.
Meanwhile, 71% of Internet-connected 16 to 24-year-olds said they now use their mobile phones to surf the web.
The ONS survey also found that 77% of British households now have an Internet connection.
