In a blog last week, we discussed some of the results of Ofcom's 2011 Communications Market Report, in particular the finding that over one in four adults in the UK now use a smartphone.
In addition to revealing the level of smartphone take-up in the UK, the Ofcom report also contains insightful findings about Internet use in the UK.
According to the report, British Internet users spent an average of 50 hours online on PCs in April 2011, which is equivalent to spending 100 minutes surfing online every day.
The report also reveals that 74% of British homes now have broadband and nearly 50% of the British adult population used social networking sites in the first three months of this year.
