Organisations can now use the Google+ social networking site to promote products and services and interact with customers.
Google had previously restricted use of its social media site to individuals. However, organisations can now create their own page for their business or brand and use the site to engage with prospective and existing customers.
Google+ users will additionally be able to recommend businesses and brands with a +1, add them to their circles and use the site to communicate with businesses face-to-face.
