Looking for a partner to create the website, it chose Whitereel, the web design and development division of Systems Valley.
"We conducted an audit of companies who offer website design and development services," David Terry, Managing Director of Pure Power Solutions Ltd, explains. "We looked at criteria such as technical knowledge, service, location and value. Whitereel ticked all the boxes. They came across as committed, knowledgeable and technically able and offered the best value. They were also geographically close and offered a more personal service: visiting our offices to discuss our requirements at times that suited us. As the job progressed, we knew we had made the right decision as Whitereel fulfilled all the guarantees they said they were going to fulfil."
Pure Power Solutions provided Whitereel with information about their business, their competitors and their requirements for their website. The Whitereel team then researched Pure Power Solutions’ business sector and competitors and came back with recommendations and suggested layouts for the new website.
After discussing the layout of the site with Pure Power Solutions and offering ideas and suggestions for how to make the site easy-to-browse and engaging, Whitereel produced a Wire Frame design based on Pure Power’s requirements and developed the site’s content and navigation.
Throughout this process, Pure Power Solutions were impressed with the personal service provided by Whitereel. "As the project took shape, the Whitereel team visited us on many occasions to go over the progress of the project and discuss our requirements," David Terry comments. "We had personal contact every step of the way and every change we asked for was embraced."
Pure Power Solutions were also struck by the creative way Whitereel developed their ideas for the site. "One of the best things on the new website is the Carbon Footprint Calculator, which shows businesses how green their existing UPS system is," David Terry explains. "This is something we wanted to have on the site but Whitereel took the idea and ran with it. Our competitors also offer a Carbon Footprint Calculator, but they have it as a spreadsheet that you have to download, whereas Whitereel came up with a neat solution and made the calculator an embedded tool that’s an actual part of the site."
